I have a 424 which has problems with moisture on points.Would I see a noticeable improvement in performance if I converted and are the ELECTRONIC IGNITIONS HARD TO INSTALL?

electronic ignition is easy to install, you remove points and condensor, put in plate with switch and put magnetic gizmo on distributor shaft. You need to get the one for your setup, be sure to get right polarity and voltage. The advantage is you don't have to change points again. I put one on my JD430 and am very pleased with it. Not sure about moisture and would think you would need to figure out why it gets moisture on the points, cracked cap or something.
