How to firgure out Drawbar HP????

I was just wondering how you figure out DB HP. I have heard you take away so many percent from your pto hp. My M has 54 pto hp, just want to know how much DB it has.

Actual DBHP can only be calculated using this equation:

DPHP = Drawbar Pull (measured in pounds) x Tractor Speed (in feet/minute) / 33,000

You can roughly estimate DBHP knowing engine flywheel HP recognizing it"ll vary depending on transmission losses, tractor weight, type of surface the tractor is running over (loose dirt vs hard pack, etc.), % tire slippage, etc. Figure about .7 to .8 x flywheel HP for most tractors.
