I would like to know if anyone knows a website that tells the size of tire chains and what they fit.I have a Farmal 460 with 1550 x 38 rears and would like to know the size of the chains. I have some sizes for trucks but short of trying each one and trying to shortin" or legnth tofit would be easyer to know the measurenments.Take care and thanks

There's no way any of the sets of truck chains you have are long enough to fit on the rear tires of that tractor. Wide enough, maybe if you've got some sets that go over dual truck wheels, but definitely not long enough.

If you want to adapt truck chains to your tractor, you're going to have to do the adapting. Find some that are wide enough, then hope to heck you've got enough sets to connect end to end to go around the big tire.

Don't expect them to last long, or work very well. Truck chains are much lighter than tractor chains, so they will fall between the lugs easier, and if you ever get to digging, you'll tear 'em right off the tractor. This thing has fenders, right? Wear your kevlar underwear if not.

Most tire chains are listed according to the size of tire they fit, so just look for chains that are sized to fit a 15.5X38.
