Dad saw an M at a farm show with a 345 V8. Someone told him the owner was from Albert City, Iowa. Anyone know who it is? How to reach them?
Dad"s wanting to put a 345 in a parts M he has to drive on tractor rides, and would like to know what it takes, difficulty, etc.
Have any of you done something like this?
Thanks

It seems like you asked this same question a while back and didn't recieve a reply, so I will at least let you know that someone has at least read your post. As far as answering the question, I have never done it, so really can't give you all the answers you need. I have asked the same question, and been told that it is as easy as drilling new holes in the original rear mounting plate, to accept the 345 engine, and then redrill the crankshaft of the 345 to accept the M flywheel. I currently have an H that needs an engine, and a Camaro with a small block. the camaro is toast, the small block is good, and the H and the Camaro have been eyeballing each other. Really don't have any better answers.
