I just got done putting a new head gasket in my 454, it says to retorque after getting the block up to temp.... Do I retorque while it's hot or wait till it cools? Thanks!

Retorque while still warm..hot as soon as you can and not burn yourself to bad...

Hot. That way when you torque the head you are compensating for the heat related expansion of the fasteners holding the head down.
