Hi, I did the same thing as you are wanting to do. I wanted a good one. I ended up having NAPA order it for me. I got a new (not rebuilt) Wilson generator out of Canada. It was pricey, but quality. $130.00 as of last March. Good luck.

did you find out for sure if that is a 230 the s/n for the 230 is 56=501,57=815,58=6827

Try your local tractor salvage yard; they most likely have several on hand.

Your local CNH dealer, or NAPA, or a local auto supply that sells rebuilts by a brand such as Dixie or Wilson, or whatever the brands are in your region.

Even if the local store doesn't have an AG reference book, if they are willing to call into their supplier, they can probably get you one.
