Hello,
I trying to get a Farmall H running. It has an M&W hand clutch on the left hand side of the operator platform. Uhhhh, what does a fella use this for, and how does a fella properly use it? Thanks

When working properly, the hand clutch is very nice to have. I posted the operators/parts manual in "Vintage Ads", I think?? It is very helpful to have when working on these. Good luck!

shift it quickly and smoothly. Don't slip it. it should engage with a "snap"

The M&W hand clutch is an aftermarket clutch that enables the operator to stop the tractor without stopping the PTO. Since the tractor didn't have a live PTO, this was the closest thing. Word to the wise, when you use it it's just like pushing the clutch in, so be careful on hills.
