Hey fellers, how can I tell if an H has high speed gears in the trans.? The ser. plate states that it should have them. The top is off the trans., so what do I need to look at, etc. Thanks, Andy

I have had no personal experience, but the parts book says that the 4th sliding gear has 35 teeth standard, 29 teeth 7 mph, the 4th speed standard driving gear has 35 teeth, the 7 mph driving gear has 41 teeth.

That is correct. And, on the low speed attachment it is only 1st gear that is slower. On the Super H, the "high speed gears" are standard. 3rd on the SH is almost as fast as 4th on the H, and 4th on the SH is slightly slower than the 7 mph 4th on the H.
