Went to a sale today. 2 degrees out. Where were you Jimmy King? A very straight 51 super C with no dents at all. Tires where shot but had the battery box, all the gauges worked and had a belt pully. No fast hitch though. It sold for $1950 which was a lot more than I thought it would bring on this cold day. I was looking for some fast hitch imp. but they were all drawbar style. These old tractors are getting popular, must have been 200 people there to see one tractor sell on a very cold day.

The last weekend of October there was an estate sale about a mile down the road from me and a running super c with a fast hitch only brouht $750.00. I was going to bid even though I did not need the tractor, but didn't want to run the price up on a good friend and neighbor.

Paul my days of going to sales when it is 2 degrees are over. Also I had to work last night, when I work I sleep all day.

Its been my experence that the colder and nastier the weather is the more people show up at auctions and the higher things sell for. I think everyone thinks no one will be there and they will get a good buy. The sales to go to are ones held on nice days as fewer people show up because they think eveyone else will be there. Been my experence anyway.
