Well folks we are socked in in Exeter today, have had about a foot of blowing snow since midnight, little moving on the highways and all major airports shut down...Toronto, Detroit and London in between..forecast for more, I blew the driveway out at 7:30 and its full again..I got to get to the farm and take care of the girls soon too, and as soon as I walk in they head for the manger and stand there, I'll be mobbed by twelve cats as soon as I'm in the door, everybody counting on the GMC getting through. I have a neighbour who would feed for me if I couldn't make it out to the farm, but I've always managed. Anyway we have a pile of snow here on top of the pile we had before and it is a mean day out there but it will be a white Christmas for sure. I do wish all of you a safe and happy Christmastide, be safe and warm..my best to you all..Mike in Exeter Ontario

Micheal,

Nice to see you guys getting some good character building adversity. We are having some cold snaps up here. We've seen -38C already and this morning was -30C but without the nasty wind. If you have a good fur lined hat it's quite comfortable. Well, I know you will be busy again this year entertaining friends and family so have good one from Northern Ontario.

Ed

Great Day in Toronto ! What a great day... was able to get the super A out and do some plowing, even plowed out a neighbour driveway and made a new friend ! Here are some picutures of the driveway and the tractor with the plow !

Merry Christmas to all....

Brian,
Nice looking rig for sure.
If I had a drive like that I"d want some power like that. As it is, mine is about 300" long and the "49 Cub handles all the snow we get up here in Northern Ontario.
Have a Happy Christmas.

Nice pic Brian, nothing like a tractor and blade like that to get people to endear themselves to you when the SNOW is DEEP. Only problem is by the look of that Southern Ont Urban Sprawl I see at the end of the lane they might also run to the town and complain about you having a tractor in the summer heat. Are you in Markham?

Thanks for the comment Bob, actually I'm in the Maple area, and you got that urban sprawl right ! In terms of the neighbours they've been alright, they put up with tall grass, pumpkin patch, snowmobiles in the winter, and bon fires in the summer. I've been sorta of nervous a couple of times in the summer when we've got a fire going ( controlled of course ) and the police helicopter is buzzing over and around us...oh well, not trouble yet.

Brian.

Our Farm was at the corner of Major Mack and Woodbine/Don Mills/4th of Markham. Been in town 29 yrs on Bayview 1 1/2 blocks south of Mack. You must have been up Bathurst around Mill st. or Elgin Mills. I see lots of us from Ont here on the Binder Board. Only other guy I knew from before was Elmer on the Case/DB board. We worked together years ago. Have a nice Christmas Brian

Had a fellow bring a tractor hauler from PA to me here in Central Illinois. He loaded Wednesday morning and he arrived this morning! I really didn't expect to see him until after Christmas because the weather was so bad.

Glad he made it safely, and I have my Christmas present to myself! :-) Guess I should put a big Red Bow on it!

Merry Christmas Everyone

Nope, don't think my bride would understand. :-)

Gonna try to make an antique tractor hauler. Gotta have a antique truck to haul these old tractors, right!

It is a '46 White WB22. Hope it fits right in with my 30's & 40's vintage tractors.

Merry Christmas,

Dave Olson

Mike: Merry Christmas, I don't think very many people in SW ON are escaping this one. I haven't been out all day. I have decided up to now, fireside and computer are all that is needed.

I have to go to shop and put my snow blade back together shortly. Had part of it getting reinforced. I must have known it was going to hit like this. Anyhow, I will wait for wind to die at dusk before plowing. That darned 62 year old flesh just doesn't like cold wind anymore. The 130 only a mere 16 years younger seems up to it.

It's a beautiful day here in Cinebar, Wasington. Cloudless for a change with no rain. Did frost last nite but a nice crisp morning out. After 28 years in Alaska I surely do enjoy no deep cold and seldom snow.

Gosh I remember about a year ago that it was raining cats and dogs and you were getting plow and cultivators.I guess rain is better than snow but I bet you did enjoy playing with your tractors. I cranked up the super H yesterday when it was in the forties and ran it around the neighborhood. Did you get the plows working. Well I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy new Year. Please keep in touch. My father is doing reasonably well. He was glad tonight that he was not back that lane.

Mike:

We"re getting bombarded with snow up here in Orillia now too, wind is making for white-out conditions in most areas here.
Best wishes for a Merry Christmas!!

Come down to KY! We have a state of emergency and about 24 inches of this crap...er snow on the ground. The dogs were brought into my workshop last night because of the 30 mph winds and the blowing snow. Temps are forecast to be about 5 below Cristmas morning. (If I didn"t know better I would think I was in Canada.)

The ducks hate this weather. The chickens a little more so. I have got to say though my pheasants seem to like it.

Merry Christmas to all!..
