I have hauled several on a narrow trailer by taking the wheels off and slidding the tractor on the trailer - a pair of 2x10 planks under the bull gear housing works well for a slidding surface. Then use the wheels to balance the load as shown in this picture.

Bill,
I have some interesting rear steels on my F-20. It fits easily on any car trailer. If I were to use rubber wheels, I could not fit it on. So, I either haul it there on steel, or drive it there on rubber.

Bill,

Like the others said, you can build a crib or "matting" across the fendering but it will raise the height of the tractor. We hauled two F-20's from South Dakota to KY on our gooseneck and didn't have a problem setting them up on the trailer, but I do remember that they had much iron (weight).

narrow trailers are like short sleeve shirts with only one pocket, It they they didn't have enough material to make one whole, why not wait til they did?

That's a really good saying. I couldn't agree more.

Here is a picture of how a fellow loaded a wide F-20 that I sold him. Out side of rear tires is almost 100 inches!!

Deck over is the only safe way to haul this wide of a tractor.

My $.02,

Dave Olson

I solved that problem by trading for a deck over trailer, not the cheapest way out but it did solve several other problems at the same time. Here's another idea that may work for you, is there any way to load the tractor from the front of the trailer? That way the rear wheels of the tractor will already be forward of the fenders.

Most people just slide the rear wheels in, it can be fun to do. Thats how I hauled an F-12 that I had.

That's all well and good for an F-12. An F-20's wheels don't slide on some type of axle.
