Hi Jason, I got a price on that water pump that someone else posted this number 3132676R93 for your loader. The number has changed slightly to
3132676R94 and the price is $155.00. I'll give you the toll free number 1-800-732-0017. The company is Hoober Equipment. Their email address
is bhershey@hoober.com. You will have to make
arrangements as to how you're going to pay for it,
I would use a charge card and have them drop ship the pump to you. I would insure it too. Hal

Hi Hal,

Happy new year, i just got back at the office.

Anyway, here is what i discovered, i saw that on the block these markings

026Y or J then IH then a (triangle)

if this is the confirmation that i have a DT 358?

Ill contact Hoober equipment and make arrangements once im sure. its difficult to return it if its wrong while living on the other side of the globe. :)
Again thanks a lot

Hi Jason, I would post that info on the Farmall forum to see if those letters that you found and the symbol are from the 358 engine.

I would contact Hoober via email too
for verification. Send me all of the serial numbers that you think are correct via email and I'll try and contact Furnival Machinery.

You want to make sure that P/N is the correct one for your engine before you order it.
It's warm here in the eastern US. Hal

Hi Jason, Do you have the head off of that loader? If it is you can measure the bore and
stroke of that engine and I can calculate the displacement. Hal

Hi Jason, I never heard anything from Midlantic,
I sent them an email and it came back as undeliverable.

If you have a problem finding Midlantic Machinery on the internet. Try www.furnival.com and you click on their emails
that they have posted. Are you sure of those numbers you posted for the engine? Hal
You can email me too.

Hal thanks,

The number on the engine is 358TH2D030009, the numbers are a little unclear 358 may be 353. and 2D03 may be 2D07, those two numbers are the ones that are not to clear. the others are clear.

Jason, The books that I have list 3 possible engines , but do not give me any serial # break as to which one you have . DT361, DT 407 , or DT 414

I did a part # search for the gasket # ,no match. That # is most likely an IH company internal # and not the part # that is used in the parts catalogs. The 414 engine looks much like the 466 that is used in trucks .The 361 & 407 will have either an IH (RD injector pump) or a roosa-master, I think the 414 will have an inline inj pump.

Jason, I have both us and european after market parts books and neither lists an engine for an H65C with a 108.84 bore or any IH engine with that bore . 414 is 4.3 = 109.22 407 is 4.321 361 is 4.125

Get a picture of the engine and send it to me in the email maybe we can figure it out.

The # beginning with 358 would suggest that it

is a DT 358 , but the bore of a 358 is 98.425

not 108.84.

Jason,

That is definitly a 358 (the german engine) This should be the part # for the water pump assembly

3132676R93

By the way the fire ring diameter in the head gasket is always much larger than the cyl bore diameter.

Where are you located ?

george

Jason,

When I saw the trees and grass in the pic't of the loader , I knew you were somewhere in the warm climate. I put the email in and uncovered it so you can get it , just click on the name at the top. I have a parts CD for farm tractors , it does have the D358 but not the DT 358. Most parts are the same but not all .

Hi Jason, I looked this company up on the internet that's located in Delaware. Their name is Midlantic Machinery and they were formerly known as Furnival Machinery.

They're located in PA, MD and DE.
Here's their email address in DE.
Harry.Heilman@midlanticmachinery.com

You can look at the whole list as to where they're located by clicking on (Keyword)
and typing in midlanticmachinery.com.

Furnival was large company back 30 years ago. Hope this helps, Hal

PS: Emails for the other locations are posted when you look up the midlanticmachinery.

Jason,
I don't know the specs on the Hough H65C engine, but, from the number you have given, I suspect it is a DT358 engine built in Germany. The head gasket number is a German series of number and the serial number you gave might be 358TT(orTH)2D030009.
Does your engine have a turbocharger? The TT in a tractor application means Turbo (Tractor?) In a tractor, a non turbo was a DT or Diesel (Tractor?)
Yours may be TH for Turbo (Hough?)I'm not sure exactly how they defined that. The next letter D indicates it was built in Germany (Deutchland)and then 030009 is the serial number.Any knowledgable Case IH farm dealer (especially a former IH dealer) should be able to get the water pump parts you need.

Hi Jason, An IH dealer recommended that you call
302-846-0224 in Delaware. Be sure you have the correct engine number from the loader. It may
even be better if you have the water pump number
as someone has suggested. Good Luck and have a Merry Christmas. Let us know how you make out, Hal

I understand that payloader parts may be more difficult to find since the Hough division of IH is long gone, but SOMEONE, be it a Case New Holland dealer or an International truck dealer, should be able to look up the engine number. If you haven't gone to a CNH dealer or an IH truck dealer, then you can't say "nobody knows," because you haven't asked everybody yet.

The first three numbers in the engine code tell you the cubic inches. The prefix will be a D for a normal engine, or DT if it has a Turbo. Note that it's probably not a "D353," or "DT353" but rather a D3 or DT3. IH made a D360 for their tracors and a DT360 for their trucks. However, the first three numbers on a DT360 engine are "362" not "353."

You could always get the part number off the water pump casting. Even if it means pulling the water pump and putting the loader out of commission for a little while, it's better than sitting around clueless and acting stupid...

Unfortunately i do not live in the usa where its easy to get parts for these old loaders.

When i bought the loader they had modified the water pump. the original was not there anymore. what they did was install a plate over the engine and then mount the water pump on the plate to make it work. but it often gives and breaks the bolts that are installed thus i want to buy an orig
water pump to alliviate the problem.

any help will be much appreciated
