This engine starts on gas then switches to Diesel.
It's a 4 cylinder/248 cu.in. What letter series Farmall has the same engine. The one I've described is in my 1940 TD 6 crawler. Thanks in advance.

Do you mean MD? An M diesel? Do you know if MD parts will fit the Diesel in the TD6?

Yes - the Farmall MD. Also the IHC WD-6. The tractor diesels are identical to that in the TD-6 except for few a few minor details such as the location of the starter.

Would an M gas engine fit in place of the of the M diesel on the TD6?

Again with the exception of the starter an M engine should drop into a TD6. And incidentally it will turn your TD6 into T6...
