I am in the process of restoring a 1953 Farmall Super C. I am replacing the housing that supports the bull pinion shaft in the rear end and am having trouble locating the shaft seal and O-ring that fits around the housing. I"ve found a lot of internet companies that sell basic parts but have not found a source for these. Also, I need to buy a gasket that seals the entire top plate (including the shifter) that fits over the transmission. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try Chicago Rawhide at 1-800-882-0008 for your seal that you need. You'll need the part number from the old seal so they can cross reference it.
If your IH dealer doesn't have the gaskets you need you can make them yourself from vellimoid
gasket material. Available from most automotive
supply stores. Hal

Those are common items. Some people prefer to make their own gaskets, I prefer to buy mine from Case-IH, they also have the seals. If you don't have a local dealer Carter and Gruenwald (an IH dealer that also does mail order) has them. Seals can be bought cheaper (usually) from a place that specializes in seals and bearings, or perhaps from NAPA. I believe that Steel Wheel Ranch also has these -- 785-548-7437
