I redrilled the jet in the carb for my B because it was running very lean. I took it 2 sizes bigger and it run and idles great with no smoke. The only time it smokes is when I shift from 3rd to 4th and the governer is bringing things back up to speed. Oh this is at WOT. I am thinking its about right.
What about you guys?

Whatever works -- but those engines usually run rich, not lean. I think you had something plugged and compensated for it with a larger jet. It should only give an occasional puff of smoke under acceleration.

Well its not all stock. It has 3 1/8 High domes with a 140 head with a little port work done to it. (just a clean up)It has about 10 hours of run time and most of that is just messing around the Villiage I live in. Oh and the Carb was a fresh one too. But I will check it out to see if anything is plugged. thanks Shaggy

If it runs ok, leave it alone, but you can tell if it is too rich by looking at the plugs.
