Has anyone seen a PTO driven Air compressor? The only one I can find is on the internet and it seems to be an obsolete Northstar product no longer sold by Northern Tool. I thought it would be nice to use for field tire inflation and perhaps spray painting fences and especially for blowing out the radiator, which I need to do a lot b/c of pollen and dust here in North Carolina. Thanks Ramon

I checked out my compressor today. Its not a John Deere, it says AVCO Made in Coldwater Ohio.
It would make a good boat anchor. Thats pretty much all it will do.

Ramon, You won't be able to paint with the PTO pump. You will hardly be able to fill a tire. They just don't work very well. Was a good idea, but not at all functional.

I have a PTO compressor that I bought at an auction some time ago. I have never even tried it. Not too sure I really have a use for it. I can try it out and see if it works. Maybe give you a good deal on it if your interested? I'll check it out over the weekend. I'm curious now to know how well it works.

Along this line, does anyone have a recommendation for a PTO or belt-driven generator for when the house power goes out?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

I have one of those John Deere pto air pumps. Works great but is slow. Inflating smaller tires is about all it will handle, it would not power a paint sprayer or blow out a radiator. Keep an eye on Ebay they show up from time to time.
