Restoring Grandpa"s tractor. Need Help, I can tell it was originally painted white because it"s worn back down to that. A few parts were red. I"m looking for an original picture for restoration purposes. Can anyone give me more information about the tractor. Grandpa said the dealer brought it out to the farm and demonstrated it in early 1950, they bought it, but the dealer painted it red before delivery.

The serial indicates it is a 1950 demo. The 351132 is a part number, specifically it is the number of the transmission/rear end cover. There is a part number on many parts of your tractor. Casting numbers indicate the date the part was cast in the month*date*year format. 1*8*T indicates the part was cast on Jan 8 1950. The * looks like a screw head. Most cast parts of your tractor will have such numbers. Yours will have both S (1949) as well as T for 1950. Guy Fay's Letter series book has pictures. The steering wheel, seat, air cleaner cap, wheels, lights, distributer and coil were red. Rims silver (galvanized), the rest was white.

you should be able to find out by going to the left of the page under "serial numbers".
