Are you sure you have a SUPER A or a repaint job with SA decals as there are lots of tractors out there with wrong decals. And yes you could order a SA without hy set-up. I seen one some where at a show. Tractors could be ordered with out lots of extras like pto, belt pulley,ta,fast hitch and so on.

I've seen Super A blocks used as replacements in A's, are you sure there hasn't been some parts swapping?

Could have come without, but would have been unusual. Probably more likely to be a frankentractor.

I don't think you will get a lot of responce on that statment unless you tell us serial number and casting code dates of all major castings.

Couple of other items you might tell us are, does engine block have hole for mounting pump just under distributor. Also is the top of torque tube flat or round.

I have seen one (1) Super A without hydraulics. It was in a salvage yard, had a lot of parts robbed but it was for sure a Super A. The number was in the 250,xxx range so it was a fairly early one. Technically Touch Control was an option. I would bet though that 90% of them had it however. Please post the serial numbers and casting codes!
