I have a 41 h with a cracked head. Where is the best place to look for a replacement(new or rebuilt) How do I know what engine I have?, ie c152,c153 or what, so I can find the correct head. It is a gas only low compression (flat top pistons) engine. Tractor s/n fhb85366x5.
Thanks Harry.

I have a 41 Farmall H that I have parted out but still have the head on it if you would be interested in it. Drop me a line if you would like to know more. I have not pulled the head so I can say for sure anything about it. Email me and we can talk or I should say type about it

I have had good luck with a remanufactured head from value built. It was not perfect, but they made it right by me. Any H head will work, if you have to buy one, get a later model gas head. They have higher compression.

It looks like all Hs have the same block assembly(6937DFX). X5 means that it was originally set up for 5000 ft. altitude. If it has flat topped pistons, they may have been changed in the last 60 years.

H:

You may want to email "Nebraska Cowman" . I think he often has parts etc.. for most Farmall tractors. Online he's at nebraskacowman.com
If i'm not mistaken X5 indicates a high altitude tractor==not sure if the blocks/heads are any different on those.
Cheers
Jeff
