Dads got a 10-20 McCormick that needs one rod bearing # on them. Top 11348 Sm8298TC2 Bottom SM10648 82998TC1. And whats the best way to remove old babbitt from crank serial number is missing it's between a 1923 to 1939. And if you can get bearings yet. thanks randy

We use muratic acid can be bought at a pool supply /hardware store. Brush a little on let it sit till bubbling stops The babbit comes right off may have to repeat a few times, polish lightly and your done.You wont run the risk of distorting the surface if you polish to hard like you would with emery cloth.Muratic acid wont bite into the steel only the babbit.

I have bearings. Email me for price and details. I'd try sraping the babbit off the crank with my pocket knife. Maybe finish up with emory cloth.
