I need to know where you report scams from the internet. I just got a telephone call from an operator for disabbled people saying he was helping someone make a call. Usual story, wanted to pay more money than what I wanted and when I asked if it was a scam the operator said he hung up.

Think I receive two e-mail scams the other day. They were from some Mutual bank accounting department wanting information updating my account. I don't do business with any Mutual bank - I just deleted them.

Don,t know where to report these but I have a cashiers check for 3200 that isn,t worth the paper it is written on. It was written by a credit union in Dallas,Texas. I called them when I recieved it. They told me that check number was from the 1987. The issuer e-mailed me to find out why the transaction was not completed, told him the item was sold previous but if he gave me an address I would return the cashiers check never heard another word.

I just hang up. I think lots of scams originate overseas and there ain't a darn thing you can do about it. No sense getting your shorts in a wad. One thing that is getting to be more and more is recorded telemarket messages. Same thing, before the sweet sounding voice gets through he first sentence I am already hung up. oh BTW get registered with the do not call list and not just your home phone (I've been on most of those lists for years) but get your cell phones on the list too. Deadline is Dec 15

i can tell the telemarketers, cuz when i say hello there is usually about a 2 second gap before they start talking, hang up during this time and then they roll over to the next number,if it is somebody you know they will call back.
