Hi! I got a W-400 International. The rear axle seals are leaking and in process of restoreing it. The axles are sline, the hub is tight on axle, I've tried heat, penetrating oil, gear puller, Big hammer. Don't want to break anything. Do any of you have any ideas how to get it loosen up and off? Appreciate any help! Thanks, DC

Did you ever get the hub off of the axle on your tractor? Hal from MD

I've seen this before. It took a port-a-power and a lot of time.

It may be easier to do as Geoff has suggested on removing the axle and hub as an assembly and have it pressed off. Hal

Been through this with a W6, have you removed the retainer bolt? Assuming that you did, heat the axel with a torch as you have been doing, then spry you favorite flavor of penetrant on it (while it"s still hot). Before you do that, install some sort of puller on the wheel and load it. It took a few repetitions for mine. One of the parts ttractors I had, I ended up pulling the whole assembly, after removing the bull gear, and putting it in a press. The joys of tractorin" ?
