Hi guys I have a farmall 200 over here,You can put it in any gear, let out on the clutch & it wont move at all,you can push down the left brake pedal & it will take off.My guess is one of the axels is not pulling,I am opening up the top cover in the morning,Anybody have any idea of what it could be?I jacked up the left rear you can spin the tire/axel freely with the tractor in gear & the brake locked.Does anyone have a shop manual with a differential breakdown picture That you can scan & email to me?Thanks Charles

Another thing that it could be is the splines in the center of the bull gear. The spines some times wear out.

I'd say a safe bet would be a broken axle. Had the same problem with my 'C'. Came toolin' down the road from the neighbors pulled in the drive, let her coast to a stop to downshift to pull her in the barn and there she sat. Wouldn't move an inch until I stepped on the right brake. Pulled the pto housing took a peek inside and saw the bull gear sitting on an angle.

Yep it is either the axle or gears in the diff. You can take off the PTO to access it for inspection. But, the top cover will have to come off to change anything. Might as well start there as you will end up there anyway. Good news is that the parts are available in most bone yards as they are common with Cs and Super Cs. There are two different length of axles. Just have to watch that if that is the problem.

If I had to bet, I'd say you have a broken axel on the left side. I have a friend that had the same thing happen to his SC. We bought a who rear end and had a guy do the deal for the axel and housing in. I understand that you can take out the PTO housing and look in to see if that's the deal as well as the top.
