Our M arrived without a necessary piece linking the hydraulic pump to the....? I've circled the suspect area.

Bill yes the driver is missing the M had very short driver you will have to remove the pump tape it to the pump and put the pump back. The H had one about 3 inchs long and could be put in after the pump.

There is a coupler that goes in there to drive the pump. What you always need to consider is why it was removed? The previous owner may have had a problem with the pump and opted to just disconnect it. What I always try to do is find out why somebody stopped using it (what the problem was). A lot of the old "M"s" had the pump replaced with an aftermarket "live" pump. Good luck ith it.
