I have a Farmall F-20 that has been repainted. The serial number tag had been removed when I bought it. Is there any other way to tell what year it is?

Serial Number should also be stamped on the block. I am unsure which side it would be on the F 20

Just like pg stated, look on the carb side (If you are sitting on the tractor it would be your left). The F-20's have three serial numbers on them if everything is still original. The number plate on the tool box (you stated it was missing). The frame rail on the carb side, located next to the rear mount where the engine bolts to the frame. Finally, the rear part of the engine just below the head will have the serial number stamped on it. The serial number from the engine may be different from the frame if the engine was replaced by another tractor earlier in it's life. Hope this helps.
