I am looking for a loader for my 706 and I found a IH 2000 series off an 856. Will these brackets bolt right up to my 706. Any help will be great.

Thanks, Eric

It will either bolt right on or require very minor modifications, I'm going to say it bolts right up. The 706 and 856 are exactly the same width across the front frame rails, and exactly the same length from the front bolster to the axle housings. I just can't remember how that loader bolts to the front bolster. The spacing of the front engine mounting bolts is the only thing that could be a problem, but I think the loader frame bolts on ahead of those. We've got a 2250 loader on our 706, it's mounting system is a bit different, but it only took a little work to make it fit our 826 too.

The mounting brackets for the 2000 loader from the 856 are the same ones used when mounting on a 706. The loader will mount on your 706 with no problems , modification, etc. I have a 2000 on my 856 but have had it on my 1456 on occassion. It was on my 756 when we bought it. 706 frame is same as 756.

I put a JD 146 on mine and I heard a 148 fits a little better. The 146 sits a little high on the 706.

The 856 is wider. You will need spacers at the least.

Should bolt right on.
