Spin on adapter for IH 404?

I am getting tired of trying to make my filter not leaking when changing oil. Those O-rings that are used to seal the filter housing from the base are a pain. Where can I get a spin on adapter for an International 404 tractor? I checked here and they do not have one.

Thanks

Phil

You can get the kit from the dealer the last one I got was about $50.00 you may have to get them to look it up in the 444 book but i have them on M'S and a 300. Good luck

Hi Phil,

I'll bet somewhere along the line, that someone has mistakenly put in two o-rings.

If you are having trouble sealing the can with the o-ring, betcha you are trying to seal against a rock hard old seal.

Normally, they seal up very easily.

There are adapters, don't remember the source. I have never had that problem, Case-IH filters come with a new gasket, be sure the old one has been removed, it won't leak.
