Hey all. There's an auction on Sat. and theres an H with a handclutch. Thought you guys had talked about them but wondered if #1 they worked very well, and #2 what the tractor might be worth? The paint is decent to poor, but operation is my main concern. Thanks for the opinions, Jake

In my opinion they don't add to the value they subtract from it. Right off the bat you have lost one brake. When they go out of adjustment you lose the main clutch also. And then when you do need parts and you will! Where will you get them?

Lose one brake?

I didn't know that. I'll have to go home and check.

Expect it to bring $300 to $500 MORE than a comparable H.

The hand clutch is a nice novelty and they work great if you have to have live power. I have one on an M but I still square bale with an M without live power because I like it better?

When the hand clutch is disengaged, the differential is spinning like one wheel is off the ground so I don't let the tractor sit that way. I've seen guys stop and get off using the hand clutch and I just think that can't be good.

I've never had one fail but from what I see on this board they're not too tough to fix.

I don't know where you are located, but I put an H in the Photo ads with the M&W Live Power Hand Clutch.
