We recently purchased a 1935 F-20 with an electric starter which appears to be a factory installation. It has the M-like switch and starter button mounted on the steering post which looks very much like a factory installation. One F-20 enthusiast told me that factory starters were available all through the F-20 production, but they were expensive and nobody ordered them in the post depression farm economy. It sure is convenient and works perfectly!

They were after market add-ons. The is no IHC anywhere in the cast. There are several articles on this in the Archives.

I am certainly not an expert on F-20s but I think it was only in 1939 that you could order an F-20 with factory starter and lights. I could be wrong.

You are right about the starter. Could be the last two months that they were on regardless. Lights were an option I believe through out the production or at least most of it.
