I forgot to mention that my tractor was a 400 gas. I took out the selector valve tonight, and didn't see anything way out of line. I have replaced the spring a few months back. I was just wondering, since the pump still works, and the power steering works when a lever is pulled, could it be the ball valve that lets the oil back into the reservoir above the line for the power steering? I was just wondering if maybe that ball valve is letting the oil back instead of forcing it to the power steering. To check, do i take off the top of the selector block? Although, if i remember right, from the I&T, there should be spring pressure against the plate? Like i said before, when i pull the hyd. lever, the PS works so good it will start to turn on its own, so i know that isn't it.

Sorry about that,, Ididnt know it was a factory unit,, is it a charlin, or behlen steering unit? One time,, had to pour oil into the plug, and turn the wheel to get it to prime up after replacing it. that was the only thing ive ever done with one of these,,, ChadS
