How much would you pay for a Super H that is in the paper advertised as "running and restorable, all there"
The add says $1,600 i know its kind of hard to put a price on a tractor you didnt see but what would you think?

TO get a Super HTA, you have to have the rear of a 300/350 from the engine back. It may not be impossible, but it is certainly infeasible to put a TA in a Super H. The chassis serial on a Super H will have an SH prefix, the engine will have C164 cast on the rear of the block on the right side. It will have disk brakes (cast iron housing, not stamped) as did the last few hundred H's (five bolts holdinge the cover on). The choke rod and lever on the SH carb is behind the carb next to the block rather than in the front. The grille will have IH on it rather than Farmall (grilles interchange). There are other changes too numerous to mention.

I paid $2250 for one like that -- probably put $3000 more in it afterwards. I knew what I was getting into, but $2250 was a little high -- this was a stage 2. If it's a Stage 1, the price is about right or a little on the high side. If a Stage 2, in the current demand enviornment, it's probably a bargain. IF it runs and needs no major repairs. Mine did not need engine work, for example.
