Been cleaning up the shed last few weeks, ya all know how that goes,, Junk ,and treasure laying all over the place,, with little, or no organization whatso ever. Well times change, and Im cleaning out a 40X60 Lean to addition to the machine shop. Sipmly pit,, so many tractors,, I ran out of space. Over the years of tractor pulling,, going to countless farm auctions, I had accumulated a large sum of 15.5s and stord them in the shed. I think this started bout 10 or 12 years ago,, buy a set, throw em in the barn, till i found use for em. But this time, I was taking them out of the shed, and gonna put them somewhere else. So, I started moving about 25 sets of rear tires out of the shed,, and I got about 1/2 done yesterday,, and I found something, that I thought, dad had sold a few years ago,, it was tucked way back in the corner of the tire pile,, in fact,, the tires completely blocked it from sight! but anyway,, kinda like mowing the grass, and finding a car,, well I cleand the garage, and found a tractor! Hmm, that's where that thing went to!! It is a International, Cub Lo Boy. serial #6478. Has a IH 6 ft belly mower, and cob webs everywhere!! So, I finished un covering the little cub, and dragged it to the work area in the shop. I dont know anything about the little IH's, like these, but it did run,, and is not stuck,, Sure is a cute little tractor,, I can remember dad getting it, and I sure did think he sold it,,, kinda glad he didnt! this one has like a 300 grille in it, and the chrome IH on the top of the radiator. What year is it? can anyone tell me anything about them? Sure is a cute liitle tractor! any info would be great glad I cleaned out the lean to,, forgot it was there!! ChadS

We will be moving and looking for a house soon. I'll look for a house with a shed. That way I can buy a tractor and tell the wife I found it in the shed.

Looks to be in good shape. Now you only have to figure out how to put a pair of 15.5's on it. LOL.

Gosh, when I clean my shed I usually just find the parts I knew I had but couldn't find and since replaced. Think I'd like a shed like yours. Only thing though can you make a puller out of her?

Here it a picture of the Lo Boy. The last time I seen this tractor run, I was about 20 years old. Im 29 now. When I was 21, I drove Semi truck over the road for 7 years, and lost track of what dad had done with it. When I found it,, it had quite a few old inner tubes covering it up, I cant belive that in all the time i spent in there,, I never seen it! Just a big pile of tires. It looks to have the origianl rear tires, as well as some sort of lift arms off the back, It has sealed beam headlights, and If Im not mistaken, live hyd. It has a pump down by the carb. The tie rods are pretty straight still, and all the emblems are there. Looks like the original paint, I was wondering if the white paint, around the emblems was origianl, I have a few more pictures of it. Chad

Congrats! When we clean out a shed, we take tractors out and find tires!
I wonder, if finding a tractor in the shed could be a new excuse for the new tractor to a wife... :)

You lucky dog! You have an early '58. During the '58 production the grille was changed to the later 4 bar one. This late '58 is one of 13 Cubs in my barn.

Are the aluminum emblems on the side of the hood in good condition?

I'm in Green Bay. What are double bevel rims? I don't suppose they are drop center like the M's and DC Cases take, eh? How far are you from Green Bay? How much you asking for 'em? Thanks, Glenn

Double bevel rims wouldn't work on an M, they woud work on 400 up to 560. They don't match. They are new condition. I've got to have about $450 for the pair; south of Minneapolis about 50 miles.
