I am mounting a IH 2350 on my 966 and am having a little trouble figuring out how to mount the brackets. The front mounts-I have figured out, but the rear bracket is what I can figure out how to mount. The way I"m guessing it mounts, there arent enough holes in the frame. There are only 2 holes in the frame and the mount has 4. Do I need to drill 2 more holes ineach side or am I looking at this thing wrong. Any help is appriciated, I just dontwant to s[end the time drilling out my frame rails if I dont have to. ( The brackets came from an 856, possibly there may be a different set of brackets for a "66 series tractor, but I was told they would work form a couple of different sources. Sorry for the long post andI hope you can make heads or tails of it. Thanks!

We had a 2350 Loader on a 766, we had to drill additional holes in the frame to mount the rear brackets.

You probably need to drill the holes, that's all, if you're lucky. 966 is a little wider than an 856, hopfully that won't cause you any trouble when you go to put the loader on. About two years ago, we bought a 2250 loader for our 706, not knowing what it had come off of. Ended up enlarging about six holes in each mount, and drilling two holes in each frame rail.

Iowa,, My 966 has a 2350 loader on it. My 966 allready had the hole there when I mounted it up.
If your frame only has 2 holes, Then MAKE the time to drill those extra 2 holes/side. IMO there is no expendable bolts in an loader application. To use only two bolts in the rear mounts is to flirt with disaster at some point. Please drill the holes!
Later,
John A.

IF,

The loader mount, more than likely, is made to fit more than one application and hence the reason for your extra holes in the plate.

I'd bolt 'er on there using two grade 8 bolts per side. Sould work just fine.

It's been a while since i put one on but i went the other way from a 1466 down to and 826. there i had to make spacer blocks for the narrower frame but i was thinking that it went on the bell housing but don't hold me to that.
