I see many restored tractors with a white color exhaust manifold and pipe. What is correct paint and color for the manifold? What is acceptable at tractor shows? please comment. Thank you.

Any manifold that does not have the usual burned off paint on the exhaust, and red on the intake portion looks artificial to me.

The entire tractor was painted red at the factory, with the exception of things like tires, rims, steering wheel, magneto and a very few others. So red would be correct.

As far as "What is acceptable at tractor shows?", my opinion is: whatever you like, after all it is your tractor. I paint my manifolds with black high-temp grill paint, just because it's what I like. Is it "acceptable at tractor shows"? Don't know, but nobody has complained yet.

Most paints burn off the exhaust parts quickly, but remain intact on the intake surfaces, which I would guess is closest to the original. Now, however, there are some special paints and powder coatings that will not burn off, or at least not right away, so you could paint the maifold any color you choose. The Eastwood company has some nice products you might look at.

The correct paint for any Farmall manifold is whatever red paint happened to get on it when the rest of the tractor was painted. Absolutely nothing else would be correct.
