Batteries for 560 wheatland

Does anyone know what batteries a 560 wheatland is suposed to use? It is a diesel 12 volts but I do not know if its supposed to have 2 12 volts in parraell (misspeled I think) or 2 6 volts in series ? Because there is a lot of room up there... Any help would be apperciated.... Jim

560 diesel has 2 group #3.

I have two 560 ds just use one heavy duty 12volt battery less posts to keep clean and I use them in the winter no problem.

If it was mine, I would get two 12 V marine batteries and put them in parallel vs two 6-volt in Series. More Volt/Amperes on a diesel is a good thing.

You can obtain just as many cranking amps from 2-6 volt batteries in series as you can from 2-12 volt hooked paralell. That is providing you buy the right batteries.

yes, The diesel uses two 6 volts

parts book calls for Auto-lite 2H-135R whatever that means.

Jim: I had a 560D, mine was a Farmall, but think that compartment is close in size. My experience go for the largest batteries that will fit in there. You wont regret it.

My 706 diesel had 2 6volt batteries in series. I got my battery replacements from the CIH dealer.
