Bought a TA from 4 state Salvage on E-Bay suppose to be a drop in and run unit! Got it and its a worn out pile of iron. Needs a new shaft that goes thru it that goes from trans to clutch drive shaft cant find one any where! Dose any body know what will interchange from another I H C tractor? Dose any body have a good used one? I guess E-Bay is not agood place to buy used parts!

Clunk won an auction from me for a complete T/A assembly removed from a 300u for $135.I clearly stated that I was not a transmission expert and the unit had only been visually inspected.I also clearly stated it was sold as is and please ask questions before bidding. It had no visible broken teeth or other problems. If he had only emailed me before bidding I would have quickly told him exactly what was stated in the auction, that I did not know the internal condition. I had not dis-assembled it and had each component checked. The other bidders realized that and that is why it only sold for the price of a core and not what a checked and guarrantied unit would cost retail. As any experienced ebay buyer or seller would tell him, know what you are bidding on and never assume anything not stated.ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING.I just wanted to tell my side.I have a 99.6% positive feedback rating and with over 900 total feedbacks only 3 people have left negative feedbacks. As any seller knows, you cannot please all of the people, all of the time. How many people selling on ebay have over 750 unique feedbacks with 99% of those from buyers and still maintains 100% feedback?Answer- Less than 1%.

See if you can return it and get one from Steel Wheels Ranch--I believe Mike gives a 30 day warranty on stuff like that.

This is the second time in about a week that I have heard negative comments about 4 states salvage. Do as Magman says, contact the seller first, if you get no satisfaction, then leave negative feedback. Please keep us informed of the results.

if they don't want bad feedback, why the heck do they sell you junk in the first place, sounds like a pretty shady operation to me.

Have you tryed telling them that. Sometimes they will return the money rather than get bad feed back. JON

I agree. It's not EBAY. It's the unscrupulous people that sometimes use the site for their own ends. You'll find it in any forum where there is something to sell. Some people will use any means to get rid of their junk. All one has to do is advertise a part just as it is and then there are no misunderstandings. I have made refunds, sent a new starter to a feller after the one on one of my tractors went out, and done everything I would want someone to do for me, not because of the feedback, but because it was the right thing to do. I am not going to sell a man a part that is only good for a boat anchor if that is not what he wanted. Sorry for your experience, but maybe what this guy passes out, he will get in return. Good luck next time. Harley

most fair people don't deal like that , but E-bay doesn't care who they deal with as long as they get their money , I wouldn't buy anything from them. remember get you twice it's your fault
