I have a new looking WICO Model X, No. Y-54, Spec. XH-1343 magneto in a Fairbanks-Morse box labeled FM-ZV4B7, Wisconsin Motor Corp., VE4 and VF4. The magneto is for a 4 cylinder application. Clearly the box is incorrect but, perhaps, someone swapped a FM for a WICO on a Wisconsin engine years ago. Does anyone know if this magneto fits a Wisconsin V4 or, if not, what it does fit? Also would like to know what it is worth. Mag is complete with impulse coupling and works fine.

Dean

Hi Dean, I was just watching a simelar one on Ebay a few days ago and it went for $195.00 I think.Thats how much they put it in for and got one bid at the end it said it was brand new I think. Go to ebay and do a search for it and check the box for previous sales or listings or what ever it is . I think a other brand new one sold for $150.00 a few weeks back also. JON

Hi Dean, That Wico with the spec number XH-1343
will fit the Wisconsin VE4 or the VF4 engine. I do not know what it's worth, but a new one would cost you plenty, that's if you can still get them.
Those engines were used on a lot of applications.
Advertise it on ebay, someone may have need for it. There's alot of those engines still in use. That FM number listed on the box would fit the VF4 and the VE4 engine too. Hal

Thanks for the info. I thought that it was probably for a V4 Wisconsin. I have no use for it and will probably sell it. Might try ebay but have heard lots of horror stories.

Ah dont worry as long as you have the cash in your hot little hands before you ship. And tell them that its as is and no returns if thats the way you want to go. And you should have nothing to worry about. JON

Thanks guys. This may be a good way for me to gain some experience with ebay before I try to sell the expensive diamond, which I also have no use for. Have been toying with ebay for the diamond for a year or so but I'm the paranoid type and have read a lot of horror stories. Think I'll try the mag first.

Hi Dean, I would have them pay for it through
pay pal or with a cashier's check and I would insure it too. Hal
