Why not return it for the correct one.

I reorderd the correct kit. Talked to their tech man and was sure the number he gave me was the 135 kit. i am not gonna hold'em to it cuzz I also had the number wrote down fer the 123 3 1/4" kit also. If you ever try and order a kit out of a TISCO catalog you would know what I mean. I got free freight on the kit but will havta pay freight both ways if I return it. Its a good buy at 375.00 and would save me the freight charge.

Hobo. The 123CI engine is a 31/8" bore. Tom

I here the 100 came with the 3 1/4 bore and I here their was a over bore kit for the 100 3 1/4"
either way mine had the 3 1/4" overbore kit with the steped head piston. Parts book reads C123 CID GAS 4 CYLINDER ENGINE
SUPER A-1 & AV-1 S/N 310300 & UP,
SUPER C; 100 & 200
(stepedhead piston) (cyl. sleeve 3-7/16 O.D. at seal)
Basic kit is 3 1/4 bore.
I was thinking the 3 1/4 bore was a 135 and some one had changed it so i had he 135 in mine when I order it. Tech said the 3 1/4 was STD for my 100 but the 135 sleeves were .030 larger at the sleeve seal. this is the first 123 engine I have been into. I do have a 140 with 123 and know the sleeves or 3 1/8. I don't know for sure what the 100 had in it new. I do know it had been into before. Who knows after 50 years what some farmer dreamed up.

Hobo. I checked 4 reference books that I have and all of them say that the 100 should have the 123CI engine which is the 31/8X4" block. Most likley your tractor has already been oversized. Tom

Oversized, farmerized, simonized, bab'tized, pulverized, circunzised, old boy had a hard life befor I got it. The guy I got it frome said it had a super kit in it. thats all I know. it ran fine with some smoke til the gear on the hydraulic pump got loose and took out the governor, cam gear and the hydraulick pump. after i got the engine apart the rings were shot. Not know'n much about this engine I drove in head first gonna do a complete rebuild.
ran in to my fist problem last night, install the rear seal (dust seal) and covers. i soaped down the aera around the seal house'n and blew air from the inside and i had leakage. removed it and put some good silicon sealer on the gasket and reinstalled. Have not rechecked it but sure it will not leak around the gasket. Thanks for your reply.

Hobo. I am going into my '39M this winter, won't know until I get in there if it has been oversized or not, but it will be when I get done. Good luck on your rebuild. Tom
