I have an oil leak on my h where the belly pump sits. It actully leaks out of the oil seal on the transmission case. I am having trouble removing the 4 tappered bolts so I can remove the casting. I have two of them out but spent the last hour trying to get the other two out with no success. Is there trick to removing them?

Dave

Hey Dave, I think you are talking about the tapered bolts that hold the coupling yokes together that drive the tranny? If so they are a beast. If I remember right I used the biggest wrench I could fit in there, a cheater bar and a sledge to get mine busted free. I think I also tried to put a bar behind them and tried to pry them out a little. A good amount of cussing every so often seemed to help also, haha. When you replace that seal you might look at the yoke that passes through it into the tranny. I replaced mine and I probably should have installed an Easy Sleeve that some of the guys have talked about on this forum as mine is leaking again. Hope this helps you out some.
