I have a farmall f20, or so I think it is. I am wanting to begin restoration but would like to know it it is a f20. The serial number I have is FA15554. It has steel wheels on the back and rubber on the front. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Farmallgirl,

We may not live far from each other, I also live in Illinois. I'm currently finishing an F-20 that was in worse shape then the one you have pictured. If you need some engine parts I may have a few.

All it takes is lots of time and money. I look at this picture to remind me how far I have come with this project. I know my tractor is in better condition then others that have been restored on this site. Good luck with your project and keep everyone up to date. Great bunch of guys that will go out of their way to help everyone. I love this hobby and thanks to Mike Androvich, I have another much easier project after this one!!!!

Don't let me rain on the parade but that looks like you already have your parts tractor with not so many good parts either and maybe you should look to do a litle research on the value of these F20's before you proceed. Now if you're just plain in love with it, that's another matter.

I missed the post below that said this was your dad's F20 tractor so please do accept my apologies for that rather harsh evaluation.

Hey, no hard feelings;) Trust me I am fully aware of how much work this old girl is going to take. Kinda figure if I have another tractor, I can go for which one will be easier to repair in the long run. Either way, will have an F20 when it is all said and done:)

Farmall girl what state are you from? I am 23 and have about 35 old tractors. How long have you been in the hobby. I have been collecting since I could walk.

Happen to be from Illinois. All of my tractors have been in my family for as long as I can remember. My dad was a tractor puller back in his day. When he died I decided that I would bring all of his tractors back to life. Like I said, my Super H is almost done and it's my first full restoration. So, I'm pretty proud of myself and have already nicknamed it "Satisfaction". ;)

Please don"t take this the wrong way but how old r u? If you are younger (16 - 20ish), wow. I don"t know of too many girls that are interested in fixing old tractors. If possible, please post a pic of the tractor, fixed or not. To collectors, a tractor in any shape and size is a beauty.

Trust me I didn't take that the wrong way :) I take everything you said as a huge compliment! Thank you!!! I am 24 years old and am close to the end of my first restoration, which is a farmall SuperH. The f20 is my next big project. I have a Super MTA to do after that. I agree that there aren't many girls that would restore tractors. Most people I talk to think that I am joking. I would love to post a picture of my f20 on here but to be honest I'm not really sure how to do that or where on this site to put the picture. If you could let me know how, I will get it on here as soon as possible. emjay97@hotmail.com Thanks again!

Besides wishing I were 24... Assuming you have a photo on your computer of your tractor: look to the right side of this page and go to "Tractor Photos" Add your photo per instructions. Once photo is online right click it and open "Properties" copy the address starting with Link and ending in jpg. Then post your message as you did and put that address in where it says optional image URL. Allan in NE showed me how and like, him I think the more pictures the better! Wanna see that Super H too!

Hey Cowman~ I am needing quite a few parts for the F20 right now. The old girl was vandalized a few months ago and is in serious need for some TLC. I need anything from the steering wheel to the front rims. Don't get me wrong she does have some usable parts. I haven't had too much luck looking for the parts that I am needing though. Know where I can find either parts or a parts tractor?? Thanks!

According to Guy Fay's IH Tractor Data book that would be a 1935 F20
