I bought this picker parts book off eBay, and for any of you who don't know, not only am I an IH nut, worse is that I'm an IH picker nut. Deadly combination. Anyway, bought this picker parts book, had a picture of the cover that said 2-PR on it. Well, heck, I said, I'll bid on that. I'll have a 2-PR soon enough anyway. 7.95 and it shipped free.
I go to get my mail this morning, and this massive box is thumped on the counter. I was amazed. I thought I just bought a 100 page or so manual. Uh-uh. I have the parts manuals for every IH picker built since the No. 24 and 14-P back in 1946, including my beloved 2M-HD and of course the 234 in the way back. I nearly drooled on it. The stamp says $4.84, so figure I paid $3.11 for this thing. AAHHHHH HHHH!!!!! Oh it is so awesome to flip through here. And it is really neat because there are lists and lists, in no order or placement, of individual's names and the serial numbers of their pickers on the covers of each model of picker. Just amazing. Even got a big black binder to go with them all. There are thousands of pickers in this thing. I guess I'll start my Christmas list on page 1!!!! AWESOME!!!!

Do you have a book on a galvanized 1P with side elevator and side hitch? I have one in the weeds and want to get it running.

Yeh I do, I don't know about the side hitch part, but I definately have a 1P book. If you want a copy, let me know. I'm looking into what I can make of these things. Don't let that classic picker go to dirt!!!!
