The above dipstick is missing on my newly acquired SM. Can someone give me the measurement from the inside of the fill lid to the full mark on the dipstick? With this measurement I can figure out my own system of measuring.

Thanks,

gusc

Don,t Have a measurement but you could drain the resivoir and refill with 6 qts. oil and measure From there. I don,t recall ever seeing a dipstick on one though. we had 3 Ms 2 Hs and 2 MTAs on the farm. just measure the oil in.

Herb,

Thanks but I really would like to do this without draining the oil. However, it probably could use a changing since I just got it.

Surely there must be some SM owners out there who could measure their dipsticks for me or maybe someone who could sell me another cap with dipstick.

I've never owned a Farmall before so this is kind of new to me.

Herb,

They all originally had dipsticks.
