When Farmall 130 and 230 tractors were new, you could buy optional 4x16 front wheels. I know this to be a fact as I had a set on a 130 and my brother has a set on his 230. These were equiped with 5.50 x 16 tires. If you go today for replacment wheels, you can no longer find 16" wheels. 3x15 is all that is available. I have checked several sources. Does anyone know a source for 4x16 front wheels that fit a 130? Secondly, does anyone know a source for the 3 lugs that could be welded into a blank rim? Lugs for a 15" rim would work as one could weld in a spacer.

Hugh, Why would the 4x16 tires be preferable? Pros and cons? Thanks Ramon

Ramon: I have installed 12.4x24 tires on an 11" rim on rear and this causes tractor to sit low on the front. By putting 4x16 rim with 5.50x16 tires on front it will correct that. Those larger tires on front also carry up better when ground is soft especially with front mounted blade.

Miller tire has the blank 4X16 rims in their catalog. They also have the IH front wheel brackets with rivets for both 15 and 16 inch wheels. Website is millertire.com

Paul: Thanks for that information, as I told rusty I have already checked out their web site. I particularly want to thank you on making me aware there are brackets and rivits for 16" wheels. Miller don't seem to have a lot of exposure here in Canada. Again thanks.

rusty: Thanks for the tip on Miller Tire. I went to their web, asked for a catalogue, also explained in an e mail what I was looking for. I expect it may be first of week before I get a responce now.
