Last night I was using my M and when I went from full throttle and pushed it forward to idle, it acted like I simply shut the machine off. Then just when I thought it would be off it would snap into an idle and idle fine. Before I tear into the governor to see whats wrong, I thought I would see what some of you experts think.

Thanks.

You have some wear in it, I would guess on the weight pins worn in the wieghts. They can throw the entire governor operation off by moving an extra .100 in play from wear. I have a Super H that is like that, but it is good, I found that the likngage needed to be adjusted and freed up on the head. Also, the idle adjustment in the governor, will keep tension on the spring to bring it to an idle, the right time every time, if it adjusted properly. Weight pins, governor spring may be strectched,, That would be a start,, ChadS
