I need help! Does this cub have A fan shroud? what r.p.m. is the timing set?I set it At idle aprox.450-500 rpm.At full speed 1800rpm the timing is off by 2 degrees. Is this typical? The eng. is overheating at idle temp.85-90 degrees At full speed the temp.increases to 205-210 degrees. The engine has been overhauled.

The missing shroud will reduce the air being pulled through the radiator.

Yes the 1957 Cub LoBoy does have a raditor fan shroud. Try splitting the difference on the timing. Really though 2 degrees shouldn't be enough to cause your heating problem.
