I have trying to find books on my duckbilled F-30. Whenever i go to a show, you never find anything about F-30's let alone a duckbilled. I don't need manuals. I am looking for general info like why was a duckbill made when, how many, just info on F-30's. It seems like you don't see to many out there.

I thought I explained all that to you the other day. The serial number break is 7032. That coincides with the start of 1935 production. so any duckbill should be produced prior to 1935 (1931-1934) As IH started serial number at 501 that would mean something like 6500 duckbills produced. No for the "why" question, if you have ever been around the Regular you know that the steering gear is out in the dirt and subject to wear, IH was trying to enclose the gear to prevent wear. later they came up with a better idea, that's progress.

You did explain alot to me and I thank you for that. What I am looking for is books or magazines or just something I can read up on. If you go to shows, dealers don't have anything on F-30's.
