I just bought a W9. I plan on using it for pulling. What does a stock W9 weigh? I hope to pull it in a 5500 lbs pound class. Do I have a chance to get it that light?. Thanks.

You could lop off the rear end...., or take the 9 engine out and put an H engine in it or...., you could do like Joe said and go in a few lbs light and kick the #%&%@ out the green critters behinds anyway!!! Sorry not much help, but I know it will pull good just the way it is. Good luck, Andy

In my opinion, there ain't no way to get it that light. Now, there are likely some puller wonks that have some ideas on radical weight-shaving methods that could help you out. Off-hand I don't know what the methods would be.

Some figures for digestion: with 10 gallons of gas, one pair of rear wheel weights at 300#/pair, 16.9 x 34 rear rubber, no muffler, and my 210# butt in the seat, my W-9 scales 6,970#.

Depending on what YOU weigh and heaving off the rear weights, you COULD make it light enough for the 6500# class, but the 5500# class? Ooooh boy! Don't think so.

BTW: my 9 did just fine in a pull this summer in the 7500# class.

Better get lots of wt. off any way you can as getting one down to that wt will mean lots of change.
