I need to replace the front tires on my Farmall A Tractor (1941). I can"t read anything on the sides of the tires, they are in pretty bad shape.

Can anyone tell me what size I need to purchase?

Thanks,

Standard size from factory was 4:00 x 15 with 5:00 x 15 optional.

I believe that's correct, but the rims should fit either a 4.00-15 or a 5.00-15. I have the 4.00 on my A and the 5.00 on my B, both look good.

This is my personal opinion, but if your rear tires are 8.3-24 or 9.00-24, I would use 4.00-15 on the front. If the rear tires are larger (usu. 11.2-24) I would go with 5.00-15. As previously mentioned the front rim was made for either size front tire.
