I"m currently making my baby just perfect. By the way, my baby is a 1936 F-20 on full steel. When I tore the engine down I noticed the front main crank bearing had about an 1/8th inch play up and down. So I thought I would go to my parts shelves and grab some older bearing to replace her with. Long stroy short I am a perfectionist and don"t plan on making the old girl just a parade tractor. No, I plan on doing some plowing and regular field work each year to keep her lubed up.

Decided I needed to make everything just right and between the machine shop and myself I will have a brand new motor. Essential parts I can"t get new will be custom made. The down side of this is the price tag on the motor is going over the four thousand dollar mark, ouch. I"ve decided to get some new main bearing, and why not do it right is my moto. I"m having a hard time believing that two bearings could cost over three hundred dollars. I know they were expensive but come on. Anyone in the past bought these two bearings from a supplier for a good cost. Just wishing to find a supplier with a little better price is all. My luck I"m sure I"ll pay the high price but the good news is I can still find them. Thanks fellas.

Give Federal-Mogul a call at 1-800-325-8886 to see if they still have bearings available for your F20. Try Rice Equipment in PA at 814-226-9200 too. Good Luck, Hal
PS: You should have the crankshaft measurements
if the shaft has been machined undersize.
