Does anyone know the number for the 6V interstate battery that will fit the best in the Farmall H battery box? I tried the battery numbers for the batteries that are listed in my manual as original. Here on the outskirts of the Los Angeles megalopolis, the parts men just scratch thier heads when I ask about tractor parts. I sure am glad this forum exists!!! I suppose I could/should just wait until the new battery box from OEM arrives and measure the box, but I would like to get all the parts for the weekend. I sure hope that the OEM box fits correctly on the tractor! I have been reading the archives and learning that this may not be the case.

Thanks

Dave

Many thanks! I have heard good things about Interstate batteries on this forum so I want to use that brand.

Thanks again

Dave

Hi Dave, This is the 6 volt Interstate battery
number 1VHD and it measures 8 7/8"L, 6 7/8"W and 8 3/4" high. Call this toll free number to find
a dealer in your area 1-888-772-3600. They sell Exide and Deka batteries here in the East and they cost about $50.00 for that Group1 6 volt battery. Hal

For the Cub and A farmall, the battery size is Group 1. Measure your battery box and then measure the available batteries.
